ABOUT US!
Egyptology at Rutgers was created by History major Julia Fuchs ('22) as a part of her departmental senior honors thesis project. Julia noticed throughout her time studying at Rutgers that the ancient artifacts held by the University were not given the attention they deserved. Therefore Fuchs set out to create a detailed catalog of ancient Egyptian artifacts held by the Rutgers University Geology Museum and the Zimmerli Art Museum. In addition to the catalog, Fuchs wanted an accessible format for fellow students and community members to learn more about the artifacts, hence this website. It is hoped that all visitors will come to appreciate the ancient wonders housed at Rutgers University.
